Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO): 1987-1996 & 2000

  • worked at headquarters (Canberra); largest regional office (Sydney) & smallest office (Darwin)
  • developed excellent skills in research, interviewing and writing; and became fluent in Indonesian
  • interviewed asylum-seekers at immigration detention centres in SA and WA

Teaching (2005-2008 & 2015-)
